Ever Have Dinner For Breakfast? YOTVETA 187-20 Union Turnpike Fresh Meadows, NY

YOTVETA 187-20 Union Turnpike Fresh Meadows, NY 11365 (718) 454-1636/37

Yotveta is one of my fave foodie paradise spots. I talk about them a lot because I really like them (LOL). They even have a Facebook Business Fan Page where you can check out their hours of operation and see shots of food from the fans who frequent their establishment.

I have lots of food shots and posted a few. Let me put you in remembrance: Neerpat @ Yotveta  Food Candy  Yotveta for Ice Cream   Life Is Short. Have Desert First...

There's more, but I want you to get through your day without your eyes crossing or thinking that I am about to engage in food porn (LOL). My gal pal Susana Isakharova and I went there for breakfast the other day because our schedules changed and we both suddenly found ourselves with some extra time on our hands to catch up. We are totally into the concept of having multiple outside offices because our work requires a lot of writing. When possible, we criss cross during our day between assignments so we can check in, catch up and write, write, write.

Ever have dinner for breakfast? You should try doing that at some of your fave spots. It might turn into more of a treat than you think (LOL).

I had the Sea Bass for breakfast (ROTFL). I know, I know, that's a dinner dish and some of you are traditionalists (LOL). The sea bass at Yotveta is just so good I didn't want to wait for dinner (LMAO). Who made that rule anyway? That rule needs to be broken... frequently (but only if the food is tasty - LOL). To seem not so strange I even ordered an Israeli Coffee and Orange Juice to make it feel more breakfast-like. I was in the mood for mashed potatoes, a medley of veggies and sea bass (with that tasty sauce they make) so I asked for what I really wanted rather than settle for something less. BTW, some of you need to do that more often. Start with food and work your way up to the really big stuff (LOL). :-)

Susana had the Indian Omelet and Tea. Hmm... she's a traditionalist but I am working on her (LOL). I enjoyed sampling her selection. That was very, very good. Sometimes the simple things bring the most pleasure when you are hungry. I sat there eating like a starving person... maybe because I was running late and starving? (LOL) Nope... truth is I gobbled up my food because I was enjoying it. ;-)

My friends and I frequently order different things so we can split up the plates and try everything together. Susana and I have been working our way through this menu for a while now. I love blogging with my girlfriend about food and Jewish customs because she is teaching me all things Israeli. It's a fabulous, quiet and fun personal quest and we enjoy finding excellent spots to trigger and engage my imagination. I suck at Hebrew, but I am still learning the language. I'm even starting to pick up some Russian (LOL). Will see how I do when I post the Isaiah post later. :-)

You have to experience cultures to appreciate them. Seeing the play and eating the food is always so much more fun than reading about it (LOL). You might not like what I like... I might not like what you like... We wont know if we agree or disagree unless we both try it so go out and do something different today. Have dessert first, dinner for breakfast and play in the Rain. :-)

The cool thing about Yotveta is the place is small and cozy, the music is soothing, the people are nice, the waiters are attentive and the warm, inviting atmosphere is the right kind of atmosphere for writing. My friends and I do a lot of writing together. Sometimes, it's like we are children engaged in parallel play: very happy to be side by side but ignoring each other because we're very busy (LMAO). We chat when we get a thought, but go back to being happy and quiet while we work.

I like passing Susana my laptop and asking her to read blogs. Susana is mad funny and very smart and frequently puts up with me writing in the car. Sometimes, when we're out to lunch, she makes me put my laptop away (LOL). I am addicted to blogging. She helps me manage my addiction (LMAO). My gal pal is mad smart so I listen to her. Chicka already had a double Masters, then went out and got another Masters degree. If you want to have fun you should surround yourself with people who are smarter than you. They make life very interesting (LOL).

Today's outside office is Yotveta. I think I may be going again later on because their ravioli has been on my mind and Ravioli for breakfast or lunch would really make my day. Seriously. :-)

Psssst... the best day to eat at a Queen's restaurant in the early morning is always on a Wednesday. Why? Because the majority of alternate side of the street parking happens on Mon/Tue and Thur/Fri. Union Turnpike has metered parking so I think I'll be just fine today.

Another reason why I love eating here? There is plenty of street parking available. The bank is right across the street and it is also surrounded by very nice places to shop. I have never parked more than half a block away from their front door. Even in the snow. How cool is that? Very. ;-)
