New Version of Google Analytics Rolling Out
I'm sitting in Melodious's kitchen on my fave stool at the counter when I start reading/answering some of my e-mail and notice, "We’re excited to share that the new version of Google Analytics will soon be activated in your account. In addition to a redesigned interface that makes it even easier to explore your data, you’ll also notice some significant new features. Here are a few of our favorites..."
Hmm...
I'm thinking this could get interesting because I am such a Google Whore (LOL). Here's some of the skinny from my e-mail (I quote):
Google Analytics Real-Time
Mobile Reporting
"Flow Visualization is a beautifully designed and highly sophisticated tool for graphically showing how visitors navigate through your site. We've completely re-imagined and redesigned the navigation tools available in the old version of Google Analytics."
Video demo & Usage guides for Visitor Flow, Goal Flow
"Over the next few weeks as we make Google Analytics v5 the default for all users, we are simultaneously rolling out the report email scheduler and PDF export."
It's the PDF export that makes my little cyber-heart sing. That is really useful. Think of the interesting reports you could create as a computer consultant (or simply to keep track of which of your intellectual properties are doing well). I have 45 websites I have to keep up with, including their bounce pages, so I'm looking forward to discovering what else Google is cooking up to help make my on-line mischief more effective. Mischief can be a very efficient delivery vehicle on the information super highway (silly grin).
The Multi-channel Funnels may cause me to change how I embed my widgets. I was thinking I need targeted grouping to see which combination of holdings is more effective. I notice I get more click-throughs when music is combined with books rather than just books alone.
I have to go play in my analytics now so when the change hits I can get a feel for the difference. ;-)
