How Long Tail SEO Can Build Your Business Online

Long Tail keywords are so important to your online business and how it is found in the search engines. If your business has been struggling to be found online, this may be something you want to look into. While you may think that you need to be page one for your main business terms, what you are missing is that it is normally much more difficult to rank at the top of the rankings for these high competition keywords. The Long Tail

However, if you focus on long tail keywords in your site, you will find yourself having a much easier time getting to page one of Google as the competition is normally much less. So, as I shared in the video, if AppliancePartsPros.com focused only on the keyword "appliance parts" in their site SEO strategy, there is a good possibility they would not have had my business the other day. But, because they took the time and wrote content about a specific part as small and inexpensive as it may be, it brought them in a new customer.

As a new customer that had an exceptional experience, I know that if I ever need another part for a small appliance, I know where I will start my search. I also know that whenever I hear someone mention needing a small appliance part, that I will send them over to their site. My guess is that it probably took them a few hours of writing on the specific part & model number to gain page one rankings on Google for the keyword. So in terms of investment, I would say the return has been great.

So, if you are trying to figure out ways to help your business online, maybe it is time to start writing about long tail keywords and let others fight over the highly competitive ones. If you are not sure how to implement this type of strategy into your business, let's schedule a personal coaching session today to discuss this further for your business.

Random SEO Musings and other ActiveRain, Facebook and Google Trivia

Random Search Engine Optimization Musings and other ActiveRain, Facebook and Google Trivia

Audit your blog posts lately? Since I am taking a break from serial commenting in the Rain I thought I'd pick a few of my posts and see how their stats are coming along. Turned out to be mad fun! Check these statistics out:

If you put in the phrase "Wordy C" out of 452,000 results I hold the top three positions on page one of Google. Yay! The Margaret Rome interview at Norma's is number one. How cool is that? Very!

Try the Jewish term, "Yotveta." Out of 2,020 results the Outside Blog Minion Report came in at position seven. Cool. :-)

Remember me spoofing on my kids on the ActiveRain group AR Cartoon Network? If you put in the phrase, "Life With Wee People" out of 1,730,000 results the little minions hold the top position. Nice... My shorties are doing very well across the blogosphere (LOL). ;-)

Here are the three that really boggled my mind:

If you put in the term "Club Chaos" out of 16,400,000 results our team blog ClubChaosAgents.com is in position seven and The Active Rain Group Club Chaos is in position eleven. Wow... The bay-bays are holding down two spots on page one of Google. Kudos and congrats guys. YOU ROCK! You're kicking SEO a$$ and I am loving it. ;-)

I saved the best two for last. Try the phrase "all things Israeli." Out of 60,900,000 results the Outside Blog Minion Report comes in at position six on page one of Google.

Still think upgrading your membership package is a waste of time and money? Seriously? My inside, outside and team blogs ROCK. My Facebook fan page for the Outside Blog Minion Report is no slouch either. Put in the term "Outside Blog." In FB it's full of my Localism covers and links back to each article. Out of 82,900,000 results the Outside Blog Minion Report Facebook fan page holds steady at position number ten on page one of Google.

By the way, I could use some help getting more business fans. Please consider fanning the OBMR FB project here. We need a minimum of 100 fans on our FB business pages.

Localism is the hot-diggity-bomb. You really need to be there... Seriously. You also need to set up your fan pages on Facebook because quality link love is the name of the game people. Here are some of my fave FB fan pages. Please feel to go join them and add your Facebook fan pages in the comments section so we can discover your business pages.

July 1, 2009 UPDATE: Looks like we need 1000 fans on our Facebook business pages. You know what that means... time to turn on, crank up and jack the Club Chaos guerrilla marketing machine (LOL). Gotta get my bay-bays their vanity URLs. Stay tuned for our next link love project. This one is going to be a doooooosey (LMAO).

July 3, 2009 UPDATE: How could you not love blogging on ActiveRain? If you put in the term "random SEO musings" We're number one on page one of Google out of 723,000 results. If you put in the term "SEO musings" ths post shows up in the third position on page one of Google out of 251,000 results! You guys ROCK! Let's get the baybays all fanned up while I figure out how to create a Club Chaos SEO Bootcamp for you people. Our next project is Google Domination. We're going to give a whole new meaning to the phrase networked blogs (LOL). ;-)
