My Dad's Grape Vines and Fruit Trees, Greeleyville, SC
Greeleyville SC grapes make for a really nice home made jelly. My parents like to putter in their gardens. So do I. I like digging in the dirt and watching things grow, especially if it produces food... We all know how I feel about food (LOL). Enjoying organics can be a lovely experience. Dad brought in some eggplants and peppers the other day. I am going to go back to their house and make something tasty for dinner from their garden. Dad also has fig trees. He pucked a couple and had me wash and eat them. Wow... those were really, really yummy. :-)
The cactus are in bloom on the other side of the grape vines. I love the deep purple colors and the way they contrast against the green...
My kids planted a stick in the ground a few years ago. Now look at that puppy (LOL). We have apple, cherry, peach, plum, pecan, fig and pear trees growing... I love visiting our family fields. Looking forward to sharing them with my Activepeeps and the brick and mortars coming back with me for vacation. Greeleyville, SC is tiny, but it's a beautiful place to visit. Of course you'll need friends with space because there's no hotel here (hint, big friggin' hint - LOL). :-)
Welcome to the Wee People's fields... This is where we plant, picnic and play with the little minions on the family property down the road from my family... Actually it's a few properties back to back (LOL). 2 acres + 2 acres + 1.5 acres and 3.3 acres. Mom and Dad do a great job with them. We fly kites, miniature planes and sometimes hit golf balls here, among other things (LOL). The kids get to plant fruit trees and pretend drive here... Riding on the tractor is a always a fave thing to do. Hmm... too bad I have to start packing in the morning...
BTW, will be on the road sometime tomorrow. Wonder where I'll stop for the afternoon and evening... I have a couple of Rainers I have sooooo gotta see. My GPS picked a hell of a time to act up. Just purchsed updated maps for $69. Guess what? "Waiting for a valid satellite signal" is fashing and the friggin' thing still has no idea where I am. TomTom, we have got to talk... I may have to rename you again (LOL). Do not make me call Mangigly the I-Talian. Seriously... No point in both of us freaking out bout me being lost, eh? Then again, if you are going to freak out it's nice to do it with a really good friend. Laughter has a way of making you not feel bad about being in a serious panic. :-)
Hmm... I may hve to give two people a rain check. Too bad my TomTom is wigging out. I was hoping to detour on the way back home and loop up to NY via KY. We'll see if MapQuest will do. Spoke to the boys and discovered my guy pies got hair cuts so I am looking forward to seeing that (LOL). This should be very interesting...
I guess I'll do the tour of homes tomorrow. So many pictures, so little satellite time (LOL). I should send Sprint a link and ask them if they want space for a communications tower so my mobile office and cell phone will work. I don't like roaming charges... Seriously... Thank goodness Michelle and Cedric have wireless (LMAO).
More shots of the little minion fields... Looking forward to building a hunting stand, a Club Chaos club house and growing more food with my shorties. ;-)
