Wordy C Answers Her E-mail: First Time Homebuyers This IRS Link Is For You

I am sick of misinformation so I am going to be direct and to the point. Click that link and read it from the Government's mouth and stop spewing circular arguments about how much time you do and don't have to buy a home.

If you buy instead of cry you can get your credit in for the 2009 tax season. Think I'm kidding? I'm not. Seriously...

Quoting the Government can be cool when you want to kill misinformation. My fave 2 Gov quotes:

"First-Time Homebuyer Credit Updated (Nov. 24, 2009):Homebuyer Credit Expanded and Extended The Worker, Homeownership and Business Assistance Act of 2009, signed into law on Nov. 6, 2009, extends and expands the first-time homebuyer credit allowed by previous Acts. Under the new law, an eligible taxpayer must buy, or enter into a binding contract to buy, a principal residence on or before April 30, 2010 and close on the home by June 30, 2010. For qualifying purchases in 2010, taxpayers have the option of claiming the credit on either their 2009 or 2010 return."

"The new law also: (1) Authorizes the credit for long-time homeowners buying a replacement principal residence. (2) Raises the income limitations for homeowners claiming the credit."

See? There you have it. I am a Realtor not a Mortgage Broker or a CPA so lets not drag me into your tax issues.

My last thoughts on the subject is Newsflash: IT AINT OVER!!! (LMAO).

My Tax Guy said this: "Get off the fence and get into contract before you do your taxes. Close before April and file your claim." Hubby is gonna do that and I shall blog about his social media closing later. In the meantime, please stop whining at us because we do not pick your home, YOU DO. Try not to drag your procrastination around with you longer than necessary because some of you gambled on an extension and lost out of some great deals. You did that while you were messing up the rest of our schedules. We have work to do so if you want that house in the next 90 days go call a Realtor. It not, do your lookie-lou routine on your own dime. The rest of us are trying to help families who want to relocate now. Seriously...

Was I too blunt? (LOL) ;-)
