Club Chaos Eye Candy: Alice In Wonderland Pavilion, Central Park, NY

Carolyn Tann-Starr

Club Chaos Eye Candy: Alice In Wonderland Pavilion, Central Park, NY

I love this place. The wee people and I go here a lot. We are looking forward to sharing our fave eye candy spots this Summer.

New York City is amazing when it comes to monuments. You can spend the entire day admiring street art. I happen to have a thing for the arch at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn (LOL). We even hang out on the Brooklyn Bridge. The wee people and I have been on the hunt for some statue eye candy. If it happens to be connected to a park, that makes the game even better (especially if I get to play phone tag with Jessica. She makes me wish I had a smart  phone - LOL). ;-)

RainCamp: Ben Is Up And His Lecture Is Awesome

RainCamp: Ben Is Up And His Lecture Is Awesome

I am seated between Irene Kenedy and Cindy Jones. I have Paddy Pizappi ahead of me and Steve K, Sheldon N, Josef K and Jeff B in my sights to the right. It's a Who's Who in here and I am going to have a lot of fun capturing eye candy.

Got to hug Christa Caulk and Jon Washburn when I can in. BTW, they upgraded me to include swag presents for the little minions. Shorties have RainCamp shirts. How awesome is that? Very!

The Actives are in the house... Wordy C is about to have a lot of fun with my ActivePeeps. ;-)

A TBN Localism Tease Until The Real Deal On Sunday (LOL)

Carolyn Tann-Starr 2010 Carolyn Tann-Starr 2010

Trinity Broadcast Theater

I am sorting through approximately 200 photographs and will be locked in my house on Saturday writing a major Localism post on TBN/TBT(NYC). I had no idea I would walk away with so much information and am very pleased I decided to do this project. This place is amazing and Elizabeth Weintraub wants to see their Tiffany skylight in the Green Room. Just the thought of it being a remote possibility makes me drool. It's a Tiffany people. How could you not drool over Tiffany? That is major eye candy. Seriously (LOL).

I have to ask permission because that is a restricted area... I will ask after I post my coverage of the two live telecasts I observed on the 7th and 8th. They were both amazing. If they roll like that every broadcast 2010 is going to be mad cool. I may have a new addiction... I'm hooked on TBN live (LOL).

Wait until you see the monster PDF I am cooking up for this puppy. I may have to turn this into a series because I love what they are doing over there. The draft is in progress... Wanna sneak peek? Why not. If I'm gonna tease ya' I might as well tease ya' (LOL). ;-)

Will Be Working In Manhattan For The Rest Of The Evening Collecting Eye Candy...

Will Be Working In Manhattan For The Rest Of The Evening Collecting Eye Candy...

Carolyn Tann-Starr 2010

Later this evening I will be waiting to be seated inside of this building. Hopefully, by the time I finish my research and hanging out at my first live taping of a TBN broadcast I will have something very interesting to share with you guys. Kim Clement will be the host at TBN of New York City on January 7 & 8th and I am really looking forward to being there tonight and tomorrow.

BTW, the TBN NYC Theater is housed in a historical building from 1869. I am having a lot of fun learning about the buildings surrounding Union Square. Will be taking the train in because I am still not sure where I should be parking the car (LOL).

Carolyn Tann-Starr 2010

BTW, I really like Kim's website. I just signed up for the E-Blasts because Kim is a very interesting individual and I like the way he expresses his beliefs. I have a feeling I am about to learn something phenomenal tonight. Stay tuned... I'm blogging live from Manhattan. Starbucks and Barnes & Noble both have WiFi (LOL). ;-)

An uberMental Branding Joyride: Some Things Just Need To Be Seen At Night...

Carolyn Tann-Starr 2010

Outside Blog Minion Report

An uberMental Branding Joyride: Some Things Just Need To Be Seen At Night...

Sometimes a picture truly is worth a thousand words... If you want to get a fresh perspective of the common things around you sometimes you need to make a date with yourself to revisit familiar places at night. If the area has architecturally interesting buildings, you can capture some stunning eye candy for your blogs and other websites.

My critics are 7 and 3, so if I get a cool response I know I am on the right track. My fave moment is when Stephen says, "Ooooooo... shiny..." It takes a lot to get my 3 year old kid to say that. Here are the Localism.com future Outside Blog Minion Report cover selections from the little minions who should be in bed but are not (LOL). I shall be writing about these locations later. If it warms up I'll take the shorties with me to get some updated shots. You can never have too many photographs of your fave areas and babies tend to appreciate the reminders of where they have been when they get older. To wee ones, the hunt for eye candy is like taking mini-vacations to enjoy a mental spa day (LOL).

Newbie Rule: NEVER leave home without your digital cameras. You may miss a unique moment to create your own mental spa day for your blog post readers (LOL). It only takes a moment to capture a second in time. It is up to you how many photographs you decide to take. I took 27 tonight, but the boys only selected a few. If they had selected just one I would have been very happy with that. :-)

I love my kids, so I may be a wee bit biased regarding their choices, but I think my shorties have excellent and eclectic tastes. Check these Manhattan night shots out:

We have a lot more to show you. This is just a tease. Sometimes, teasing your readers can be very effective (LOL). I bet you're wondering just how far I wandered in 27 degrees. Big hint: went from the East to the West side and zig zagged downtown. ;-)

Snow Minions: Merry Christmas

Carolyn Tann-Starr 2009

Merry Christmas

http://www.aish.com  is a beautiful and very useful Jewish website that I enjoy. I have to teach my children how to pray in Hebrew and English so I need all the help that I can get because they are visual learners. Daddy is Jewish so we do a lot of very interesting things. Running a Judeo-Christian household means I am always being exposed to documents written in multiple languages. Ergo, I have intellectual and cultural issues (LOL). Luckily for me I have wonderful friends who help educate me while I am running amuck in my language studies and/or getting stuff translated. A few, like Susana, even help out with my Hebrew and Russian lessons (LOL). It's a lot of fun. I enjoy the research. Life is good... :-)

I am blogging live from Manhattan (New York, NY) because I want to teach Stephen about Christmas and the Messiah. We are going on a buggy ride to eyeball a cathedral and a host of other landmarks. I want him to observe some very interesting sites and I want him to experience the wonder of playing in the snow while visiting a few cultural icons. God is in the details of our intelligent design so I am using life as something the wee ones can relate the concept of God to.

We are going to be collecting a whole bunch of NYC eye candy today. My kids love going on audio/video outings and weather is never an issue. I'm letting Stephen pick the directions we should travel. I have all day to entertain the little minions (LOL). My fave moments so far? Watching him run up and down the Museum of Natural History entrance steps counting them out of order and drooling over Donald Trump's building. My shorty has very good taste. He knows the Unisphere in Flushing Meadows Park and was shocked and excited to see another version of a giant globe in Manhattan (LOL). Letting him pick out horses to buggy ride with is kinda fun too. We are probably going to take the train back down to 59th Street to get our car. We have to pick up Noah and let him make the next set of travel arrangements. The kids are my Christmas TomTom today (LMAO). :-)

While we fool around on Central Park West planning an intimate ski playdate for upstate this weekend I would like to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas.

Life With Wee People: Mother's Day Musings (Every Day Is Mother's Day)

Life With Wee People: Mother's Day Musings (Every Day Is Mother's Day)

I have been writing this post since May. I keep deleting it. There are so many things that I can say about living and caring for learning disabled children. They are brilliant in some regards and clueless in another. They present with the quirkiest personalities I have ever seen. You never know a person until you live with them. I find myself wondering what my kids think about living with me (LOL).

I have CyberBabies. They have digital expectations. They expect to see themselves roaming across the Internet on Facebook, YouTube and their Mama's blog posts. They actually turn on the computer to look for themselves (LOL). It's really neat. Noah sits in front and Stephen climbs up on the chair so he can lean across his back, put his arms around his neck and watch what ever Noah decides they should be looking at in YouTube over his shoulder. It makes me very happy to see Noah so proud to be the older brother in control of their snacks and entertainment. He takes his job very seriously. Snack-age is serious business in my house  (LOL).

When they play nice I find myself thinking that every day is mother's day. Children are a blessing. They are a gift from God. You have to enjoy them when you can because you have no idea how much time you, or anyone else, has. I was thinking I would like to do something special for the pookies. The little minions have been such a joy to tease this week. We have tickets to the Museum we have yet to use. I think it's time to use 'em.

Lately, Noah's complaint has been the fact that we haven't been exploring enough houses. My boy has actually been telling me he wants to see a house. Hmm... that's what I get for convincing them they are mini-Realtors-in-training (LOL). Guess it's time for me to do another turtle run. Except I am not going to show him a regular house. I am going to show him buildings that he previously found very interesting that people do not live in. We're going to do landmarks and Museums. Technically they are houses... They are home to knowledge.

My pookies could use a culture break. How about you? Wanna do Manhattan with the wee people? I do... Was there yesterday and had a great time. Here's a little eye candy from my run with my blogging buddies in the rain (LOL). Shall be talking more about this later. ;-)
