Carolyn Tann-Starr's Desk At REMAX People Realty
Geek Love? You betcha! Who else would be running Windows Vista and Windows XP at the same time (LOL). So you want to take a tour of Wordy C Central, eh? Not much to see. I work in a cubicle at REMAX People Realty.
See that big pink Hello card? That was from Don Rogers. He was the very first Rainer to ever send me a present. A beautiful clear paint can of tasty candy that my kids came to the office to squabble over (LOL). Matter of fact, Stephen the Minion Blur usually stands on the left side of my desk playing on the glass shelf with his Thomas the Train choo choo while I am working. Noah takes over the computer of course. That's why we call him Noah the Net Geek (LOL). We have to negotiate our turn on the electronics because little dude lives in cyberspace more than his Mama and Papa (LOL).
I wrote this post because of a hilarious e-mail from one of my brick and mortars who dared me to put Wordy C Central to the test. I do not know what that means but we are certainly going to find out (LOL). Will this be better than a Meme? Maybe... maybe not... (LOL) It depends upon what you people ask me. :-)
Wordy C Central rules:
Must be PG-13 at all times because here's the part of the show where you get to ask me all kinds of interesting questions and I actually have the nerve, the audacity, the unmitigated gall to answer them (ROTFL). Have fun. Dare ya! Let the social media games begin (LOL). BTW, my office closes at 8PM EST so you have 40 minutes on the clock (LOL).
Wordy C Central is now in session. ;-)

Wow C, are you sure you are not flying a space ship? All the computing power and phone and all, Wordy C Central is a geek's dream. Thanks for sharing. You got a good pal in Don Rogers too...
Gary, Don is an incredible man. I adore him. He's such fun to chat with too. God bless him... :-)
C - I guess you know something about multi-tasking. You spend so much time working therefore it is important to have fun at work. Have a great weekend.

C,
Looks pretty normal to me.. I just talked to a guy with 3 computers on his desk.. maybe a mac would complete the trio. It looks way to clean for me.. I thought you were a file by pile girl.. no pun intended in refernce to cosmic cow piles... so have a FUN weekend on the run!
Carra Riley aka Cosmic Cow Pie
Nice set up. Now I don't feel so bad that i have 2 computers in my home office (Vista and XP), and my networked lap top for upstairs while I watch TV - and then the iPhone as overkill :-)
Hey C: It looks like the cockpit of a space ship ~ looks like a lot of fun!
C.,
I need more "geeks" like you. License in Georgia and I will give you a nice big cushy private office.....
Julie, you have a deal. You're my Georgia bay-bay. We're going to come invade GA so we can have that pajama party and blog at Richard Weisser's house (LMAO). Will go stay with the cousins outside of Atlanta and get a Lic so I can park with your firm. Seriously (LOL). My parents will be thrilled. My family is in SC so they like the idea of me bouncing back and forth between SC, GA and FL. Don't need much space. Small desk will do. I stay in the streets a lot and adore having an outside office. If you adopt me you are inheriting a mobile, running up and down the coast to make a living agent. It will be mad fun working with you guys. Think of all the YouTube presentations we could create for your lovely listings!!! All of my law enforcement friends are retiring down south, that's why I'm taking all these friggin' classes. We're going to be going on vacation together to look at houses and visit with family and friends. How could I not help my brick and mortars relocate? I think you'll like my crazy friends. I love them. ;-)
Sandy, there are days where all I do is laugh in that cubicle while serial comment between making appointments. My office has wireless and hard-lines so I make use of both computers at the same time. I do all of my social media on the laptop while running the MLS and e-mail on the computer. That's why I get a lot done. I have everything open, up and running so I can simply tab through while answering questions. :-)
LOL @ Nick. We can hang bay-bay! You should see what is running in my house: Mac and Windows! ;-)
Carra, I have a wonderful Mac Cube full of movie making and music software. Photoshop, Page Maker, Illustrator, Digital Performer, Final Cut Pro... the list of programs is long and the projects are mind boggling. You guys have no idea what is being manufactured in my apartment (LOL). I am a very artistic and creative crazy person with fascinating friends determined to make movies (LMAO). Real movies...
Once upon a time I did a brief stint with film class but that is a whole other blog post (LOL). We're working together to populate the AR Cartoon Network. We have plans for ActiveRain. Serious plans (LMAO). I love this place... ;-)
Jennifer, it's always nice to give my ADD something to do (LOL). Enjoy your weekend lovely! Hope to get a visit in with you soon. We're coming upstate to see Paddy. Just gotta check out schedules... :-)
C did you call me on Wed? We were all out of the office at the Active Rain workshop with Bob & Brad- it heard something about new york but not much else - but it was all garbled. You must have been out of reach of the mobile command center you've got rocking there. Looks mighty fine!
Hey! When you go to Georgia let me know and I'll drive over too! Fun road trip! :)
Anna, that was indeed me on the phone. I will tray and call you again today. Working on Mikey's computer while making some home made chicken soup. My ears have been popping for two days. There is a bug going around over here. Gotta get my Granny's Chicken Soup going in the wee ones (LOL).
Ann, awesome!!!! That would be incredibly fun. I will definitely let you know. We will be passing through in December, but I can always move the date up. :-)
I'm with Gary on this one, looks like you have more of a flight deck than a desk. Of course in this day and age you can never be too connected.
LOL @ JL. I am so glad that I can sync my stuff up and run amuck in the street with my outside office set up. I've been getting an awful lot of work done. Makes more time for play time with the wee people (LOL). We are going to take them to a game room today when I finish with my clients. Noah loves basketball and driving. Stephen just likes the lights and noise. ;-)
Wow. That setup is almost identical to my home office. Laptop running Vista to the left, and desktop running XP Pro on the right. LOL! Although, I'm usually watching something on hulu on the laptop, while I work on the desktop =P
LOL @ Lisa. I tend to watch Internet TV during my lunch break, among other things (LOL). ;-)
OK. It's official. My new laptop runs Vista. So my desk now looks almost like yours. I use a Natural Pro keyboard on the desktop computer tho, and it's on the pullout shelf directly under my oak desk =)
Lisa, very cool. When you get your air card always remember to save it for when you don't have a wifi hot-spot or a hard-line to hook into, that way you save bandwidth bytes. When in the office, McDonalds and Starbucks I hook into their wifi. :-)
I forgot about this post. I just ran across it again. I too have Vista on my laptop, and XP Pro on my desktop, right beside it. And of course I use them simultaneously =D It is most certainly a geek's dream come true!
LOL @ Lisa. What on earth are we going to do with Windows 7, eh? ;-)
