Fruit Sushi? Kyoto is the Bomb! Seriously...
Wordy C does not do wordless posts. Seriously... I have to admit I almost did with this one. That dish left me speechless in a good way. I am soooooooo addicted to good food and I love blogging from this place. If you are ever on Union Turnpike near Parson's Blvd in Queens County you have sooooooo got to try this dish.
Awesome... simply awesome...

Sounds amazing C Tann!!
Now you are making me hungry!! LOL
HA! I stopped at a newly discovered Japanese restaurant yesterday. The food was fabulous and I wanted to get some photos, but when I showed them my camera to ask about getting some pictures, the Sushi Chef ducked and ran into the kitchen.
I decided that perhaps it wasn't a good idea there.
C, oh my! This isn't on Adkins I don't think. I'll have to share this idea with my favorite Pan Asian restaurant owner. Mango would be awesome.
Fruit sushi...hmmm
I'm half Japanese and have not heard of it....well, for that matter I don't eat raw fish either....wanna know why?
Debbie, that was mad cool tasty. Who knew eating healthy could be so much fun? (LOL) :-D
Steve, I am ready to return at the drop of a hat. :-)
ROTFL @ Lenn. Too funny! Poor man was camera shy, eh? We usually shoot pictures of what we're eating at the table. I've lots of food shots yet to be posted. I should do a cook book. ;-)
Patricia, they do wonderful things with mango here. They also have a delicious, delicate Green Tea Ice Cream. Yummy! :-)
C-Sally-C, I most certainly do want to know why. BTW, should I be afraid or very afraid? (LOL) ;-)
I love sushi, and I ESPECIALLY love sashimi. Because I was raised and spent most of my life in Hawaii, it's hard to find sushi that compares, but it's out there. I would try fruit sushi, but that's not sushi to me!
Susie, did I fail to mention the salmon in there? Oops. My bad (LMAO). Can't have sushi without the fish people. Seriously... ;-)
C - I am a fish fan for sure, but it HAS to be cooked for me. Although, the photo definitely makes it look palatable, and I do love fruit. In fact, I prefer my fruit fresh and uncooked. :D
LOL @ Judy. This is really good... I bet if you tried this you'd change your mind. Seriously... The salmon and avocado is really subtle and the fruit puree with the strawberries is so cool... :-)
What? Now there is some sushi I might actually try! Not a fan of raw fish though.
Paddy, you can ask them to hold the fish. They do alter the menu if you tell them you can't have particular food item. :-)
I think salmon and fruit is a delightful combination, although I haven't personally tried fruit sushi. But I would. A dab of wasabi and soy sauce, yum!
Elizabeth, yum indeed. ;-)
C,
A picture is worth a thousand words... now seriously where is the recipe? I am sure several of us would like it! Please work on that!
Your friend in the Cosmic Cow Pie.
c.,
I lived in Japan for 3 years as a child and I love any type of sushi. This one is new to me.
Conrad, that sounds very interesting... Japan eh? Cool! I have to admit this one was new to me as well but once I tried it, it was instant love for the taste buds. Nothing like good food to get you going... :-)
Carra, I'm not sure if one needs a recipe because it appears to be such a simple dish, however the next time I go I shall make a list of what's in it. :-)
MMMM SUSHI!!!!
Period. Love it. Aren't Italians part Japanese? I bet we cross-bred somewhere.
Our countries are even shaped similar! HAHAHA!
LOL at Candice. Now there's an interesting thought... :->
I love me a good Japanese . . . but I digress. This post is members only, isn't it? HAHAHA!
ROTFL @ Candice. :-D
Looks devine and hopefully you will tell me what was in it so I can get my local Sushi bar to make it for me, don't think I'll be up your way for dinner soon. And OMG it looks so good.
C- I love, love, love sushi, now this! WOW!
Janice, I have been trying to get over there all week (LOL). Working 8 to 8 missing lunch and dinner is a drag. Everyone is worried about the first time buyer credit. They are keeping me busy...
