Life With Wee People: From Pre-School to Kindergarten... Or Is It A to Z ? (LOL)
Stephen the Blur Minion is having a very big day. It's Halloween and shorty has tasted every type of candy Big Daddy Minion brought into the house. The birthday party starts at four but I kinda don't want to interrupt his nap on the table. Seems he fell out after wrecking the bedroom while watching "Open Season." They play that movie at least three times a day. Noah has it scripted (LOL).
Normal mothers would never let their three year olds sleep on the table... but I'm not normal. I only pick him up if he falls asleep on the floor or laundry bag (LOL). "The Table" happens to be one of his fave spots. Ain't messing with him when he's in his happy place. Ever deal with a cranky PDD-NOS kid? You wouldn't mess with him either if you knew what I knew about Baby Taz (LMAO). ;-)
Nap time is sacred... :-) Will wake the little minion up to dress him as a ninja later. Mikey wants Ninja Eye Candy (LOL). This should get very interesting. Will be blogging live from a Halloween Birthday Party later. Never saw that one coming (LOL). Sad thing is I really wanna stay on my keyboards (LMAO). Oh well... kids gotta socialize, eh?
Update: Pulling out the Jap uniform (LOL). Less than four hundred people around the entire world own one of these. ;-)

...shorty is snug as a bug on a ...table !!!!!!
Wont last long, but I am enjoying the peace and quiet (LOL). Too bad little dude has to go party. Heaven only knows what will happen after they suck down all that sugar (LOL). Sheldon, I cringe at the thought of hyper-hyper activity. :-)
C - Geez...I wish I could fall asleep on a table like that!! Take advantage of what little quiet time you're gonna get cuz once those little goblins fill their bellies with all that sweet sugary candy, they'll be going hyper local instead of you!
Hahahahahaaaaa! Got that right, Donna. (LOL) ;-)
So darn precious! Time goes so quickly and naps do not last long enough! Enjoy your time and have fun with your little man this evening!
Thank you, Terrie. We're back from being terrorized by funny wee people (LOL). The party was a hoot. Got film. :-)
C - I LOVE IT! If only my son would fall asleep on a table -- I would TOTALLY let him sleep there too. It's the getting him to fall asleep thing that's the problem! :-)
He looks like an angel sleeping on that table. I wouldn't wake him up either.
O_O I'd be petrified that he'd fall off the table! I think every mom has had their small child roll off a bed, couch, chair, etc., at some point. But a table is pretty high. *I can't watch!* lol
Marney, sometimes I am so thankful that the blur minion isn't zipping about that I don't care where he decides to park for a nap (LOL). He usually hops on one of the beds or the futon, but there are days we have to scoop him up from the hall rug, the laundry bags by the front door (he thinks they are bean bag chairs just for him) and a couple of times dude rolled under the table after making a tent with the sleeping bags. I am constantly checking the front closet because he thinks it is a cool place to hide. Yup. Very true. Dude fell asleep half in and half out the closet draped across Mikey's shoes. That was priceless (LMAO). Had the nerve to be mad when we picked him up and put him on the futon. :-)
Barb, I second that in spades. ;-)
Lisa, Noah is the one who rolls off the bed and he's 7 (LOL). Stephen seems to have "edge radar" and will dangle but not drop. We freak out and move them around all the time. I have been waiting for the day when shortie falls off the bed, waking up all confused and cranky. These things are inevitable and the wee people are a hoot as is. Imagine them having to contend with Stephen's future falling out the bed drama (LOL). Dude is a drama king now... :-)
awwww so sweet....
C, normal mothers let toddlers sleep when ever and where ever possible! My psychotic charming 3 year old gets to stay sleeping where ever he is...(unless there is a risk of drowning) because if he doesn't get his nap...well, you already know.
Can't wait to see ninja pictures.
Thank you, Diane. :-)
Kathleen, three is a very mysterious year for toddlers, eh?
That is so cute!!! Hope he got lots and lots of candy!!
Brenda, I am in sugar hell (LOL). The wee people are addicted to skittles. They're fighting over 'em. We keep hiding the bags and they keep raiding the closet. Stephen is relentless (LOL).
This is a rare treat a Motionless Blur LOL Hope you all had a great weekend.
Hi sweetie. A motionless Blur Minion is quite a treat, indeed... (LOL) ;-) Packing up my gear for NC. Looking to do a few podcasts with some Rainers. My kids were fooling around with the microphones over the weekend and the girls and I were making some music together. I am behind in my blog posts because I have to finish up my handouts and deal with us going live in iTunes (LOL). Thanksgiving and Christmas are going to be fun. We're recording songs in the public domain, creating new works and spoofing on Karen's lovely lyrics which we're laying down tracks and vocals on so we can music spam her (LMAO). Life is good. The week end was great. Today may be even better. Lots of comment drama going on this morning. I have been quite entertained with my text messages and e-mail and am convinced REBarCamp in NC is going to be mad fun. Paddy, I wish you were driving down with me... My cousin Amanda Marie is driving up to Troy and if I didn't have to work I'd have her drop me off for some fun time and an eye candy hunt. :-)
C, that looks like a pretty solid sugar overdose. You made the right call...sleep, my child, sleep. It's either that or wake 'em up...what????????? NO....sleep, my child, sleep.
Jane, wait until you see the mess on that table in my next post (LMAO). The wee people have killed my podcast and taken over the mic for some silly songs and gibberish. I knew I should have gone back to the office to take over a conference room... What the heck was I thinking? Ween candy is everywhere in my house. The kids have a sugar stash and are bouncing off the walls. My poor, poor neighbors (LOL). ;-)
That's a great moment, C. I am sure he needs his sleep being the active little thing that he is. Just like his Mom.
Jane, I really, really want to go to sleep but the Blur Minion wont let me. Noah is snoring and Stephen is giving his Dad a run for his money (LOL).
