Life With Wee People: Are Your Magic Markers Washable? (LOL)
Stephen makes sharing Life With Wee People fun. Stephen, The Blur Minion, saw me hiding in the kitchen talking to my girlfriend Candice on the phone. Seeing me distracted thrilled him. I have been avoiding the phone, among other things. He promptly ran to grab a little people chair so he could climb up and swipe the magic markers Mikey brought for them to do their homework. Shortie then stripped down to his pull-ups and turned himself into a "colorful work of art." He also decided to draw all over his big brother Noah. He also destroyed the beautiful oak table in their bedroom. Then he went to show his Dad his new belly (ROTFLMAO). Needless to say my hiding in the kitchen did not work out. :-D
Are your magic markers washable? Turns out my "washable markers" aren't (LMAO). At least he missed the electronics (ROTFLMAO). BTW, I would not be laughing if it were their flat screen TV looking like that. Dude will be in the shower for a while. I may have to make it a double bath. Seriously... :-)
Do I want another one? Yeah... I do. Think of all that fun, new potential material to blog about... except the morning sickness. Tossing one's cookies is never fun. Hugging the bowl may be too much information (ROTFL).
I am waiting to open my preggo test kit (sigh). I need a girlfriend present so I can spoof the results. I also need someone to be bummed out with if it's negative. I like the idea of my quirky shorties teaching another shortie... That requires film, dontcha think? (LOL)
Candyland, I will call you back later. It's bath time. My kids look like impressionistic indians and Mikey is having a cow (LOL). Getting this shot was tricky. Step is in the tub doing his war dance of victory, which means that I am now soaking wet (LOL). So, there you have it... live from the bathroom, a minion moment with Mr. PDD-NOS. ;-)

Too cute! Here's a tip from one mom to another that I just found out after my daughter and her friends got sharpie all over our micro fiber couch.....
Rubbing alcohol takes sharpie out of cloth!! YIPPEE!!
Wishing you lots of luck on your test! :)_
OMG - I have rubbing alcohol! You are a real peach. Debbie, I am off to drench my table right now. :-)
C, one time, one of my kids was hanging out waiting for me while I was talking to someone----ordering something---don't remember what anymore. Anyway he was hanging onto my leg as kids do but he had managed to find himself an indelible magic marker and he took to drawing dinasaurs on my brand new pants, and of course I was not paying very good attention at all----until it was MUCH too late:)
C,
You have to give them credit for ingenuity. My son wrote on himself, and of course the walls. What a mess that was. That stuff is always embedded in ones mind.
Hahahahahaaaaa! Mine used oil paint on my tee shirt while I was painting. I thought he was trying to tickle me with a paint brush. Missed the little detail about he paint being on the brush (LMAO). Charles, wee people are fascinating, aren't they? :-)
Tom, shortie was very creative. My walls are full of their artwork. I keep saying I have to paint, eventually do paint and they keep painting over my paint jobs (LOL). "The Wiggles" is written on my ceiling in three places (LOL). Noah climbs the furniture so Stephen can't ruin his drawings. Dude understands the significance of height (LMAO).
C,-----WAY more than pets:)
LOL @ Charles. Sometimes I treat them like pets (ROTFL). ;-)
C---I drew the line with canned dog food with mine :) They are still grateful for the most part.
Oh my word... and to think I was talking about getting them a dog (LOL). Charles, I guess now might not be the best time. :-)
C:
Enjoy these days - mine are 12 and 16 (2 girls) and I've gone from markers, paints, and crayons to iPods, cell phones and shopping sprees.
Jesse, that is so ironic. Stephen the Blur Minion is a destroy the electronics hound (LOL). Dude is into iPods, Cells Phones, DVDs and his antics usually result in me going on a shoppong spree (LOL). ;-)
Girl! I miss those shorty days.....mine are all adults now! My youngest grand-shorty will be two in January. I am looking forward to his mischievious ways! :o)
My Mikey has figured he can get me flown into New York and settled into a room with his Marriott points for Inman (bless his little heart!). I think I must be coming to NYC!!!!!
YAY!!!!! Ann, I am sooooo looking forward to spending more time with you. I'm picking you up and taking you back to the airport. This is going to be mad fun. :-)
Yes Ma'am! I haven't been to NYC since I was 6 years old! I am so excited!!!!!!
Ann, so am I. We are going to Yotveta!!!!!!!! :-D
C I love it when they take the time to create a masterpiece. I would post Nicole's portrait in marker here but she would kill me. May have to send it to you via email! Have a great Thanksgiving and hugs those nephews of mine and that big guy at your house too. Must figure out RainCamp details soon!
Morning my love! Paddy I have flipped my schedule and cleared the week for RainCamp. Got a few peeps coming for extra days. We're going to have mad fun. I'm trying to get a couple of brick and mortars to come with me because they don't get what the hype is all about. I keep telling them they have to experience things for themselves and stop living vicariously through my bad blogging habits (LOL). Their usual flippant answer? If I come and do something stupid you may blog about it because you're not afraid to say when you do stupid things, so nooooooooo, not coming (ROTFL). I just can't bring myself to promise that I wont spoof on 'em no matter how bad I want them to come (LOL). Still working on them... alas, they know me so well... ;-)
C - I can certainly relate. My niece a few years back drew with majic markers on "thin" copy paper on my new desk. I thought it was ruined. I called the furniture company and they sent me some bees wax and extra fine steel wool and told me to rub gently - I thought they were NUTS. It worked and it only took a few minutes!
I'll check back to hear about test results!
Oooooooo... that sounds do-able. I shall have to go shopping. Shorty ruined the wall as well (LOL). The alcohol previously suggested worked like a charm on all of the colors except the black marker. Seems pookie found a permanent one (ROTFL). Id did take a lot of the ink out but you can still read the scrawls. Thank you, Kathryn. Combining the two may do the trick. :-)
C ~ Thanks for the giggle. I hope you finally got all the marks off him... Are the results in yet??? Now you got me curious to find out what it was.
ROFL!
I laughed out loud when I heard Mikey say "There's Magic Marker ALL OVER HIM"
PS. It's the Twitter with the AR posts...
Jane, I keep thinking if I take it now Mikey wont let me out of the house (LOL). He's about to go on a food run with Noah. I am still waiting for one of my girlfriends to get over here so we can hide in the bathroom and spoof about the red and blue lines. Shall take the test on Friday. ;-)
Hahahahahaaaaaa! That was a golden phone moment, eh Candice? (LMAO). Oh, if you could only have seen his face (ROTFLMAO). It's great having crazy kids. Seriously... I am NEVER bored for long. :-)
Oh...such a great time of life....I'd do it all over again myself, if I weren't so darn OLD. My best friend and I were just discussing whether you get a finite amount of patience, or if you get a new batch when the grandchildren arrive.
As far as the test.....we are all here for you and will be appropriately bummed if it's neg....and thrilled if it's Pos.....
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
Karen, thank you. Mikey and I are curled up on the futon speculating like little kids (LOL). Anticipation is part of the fun. ;-)
Hahahahah !! ... I had a recent experience wondering if magic marker could be removed from our 'nice white walls !!!!!'
... at least your little guy could hop in the shower !!! LOL
And a preggo test !?!?!?!??!?!!? WOW !!!!!! ...now THAT is exciting !! Good luck and keep us posted !!!!
Happy Thanksgiving Sunshine ! Hope you are all weell over there :o)
Sheldon, my love, we have to have a playdate. I will call you, Paddy and Josef and see if we can do OCC on a Sunday! I want to go there. I love their work. The kids will love it. :-)
I LOVE IT!!!!! Thank heaven he didn't decide to make 'artwork' out of the walls. Think of it this way ... he has temporary tats. Custom tats. LOL Can't wait to see you!
Carol, my walls are full of wee people scribble (LOL). They have drawn just about everywhere in teir room. I have to paint. Again... (LOL)
