The Late Show, My Fave Ladies and Lindys...
The Late Show with David Letterman has some really fun quips. I love fun, quotable moments and I ran across a few in the Lexicon of Stupidity today that had me howling with laughter. I discovered the book earlier this evening while spending some quality time with my brick and mortars. I picked the book up off of my gal pal Susana's shelf while in her office. It was not at all what I expected. With a name like that, how could I not take a look? I'm really glad I did and I plan to go buy it on Saturday at Barnes and Noble when I take the wee people shopping for after Christmas bargain sales. We all know how easily amused I am and this book is major amusement in a very small package (LOL).
I love my friends. I learn a lot from them and sometimes my friends occasionally let me make pit stops to high-jack their Internet so I can check my e-mail, answer clients and peek into the Rain to see what my fave writers are up to. I was working in Queens and Manhattan today and a shift in schedule allowed me to get a brief visit in with my two gym buddies.
Yup. It's true. Even if I go to the gym I habitually try to surround myself with people who are a lot smarter than I am (LOL). These two are real gems with beautiful souls and a couple of my fave ladies when it comes to torturing myself at the New York Sports Club (LMAO). In the business world, Tamara is into underwriting and Susana is into education. A cool fact about our relationship: I have never had a boring conversation with either of them.
They are brilliant. They have also gone on foodie paradise excursions with me and I have mapped out most of the neat places to eat in New York City and shall be blogging about our restaurant selection adventures. I may even start writing about Manhattan night life. Lots of very interesting, intimate little parties going on. Some with stellar views, but I digress... :-)
Tamara Isakharov and Susana Isakharova
Sana is always helping me out with my blog and can be quite creative depending upon where we happen to be at any given moment. Chicka has a double masters degree, then went and got another one, so I always pay attention to what she says about my writing. She is great to have around if you need to bounce ideas off of someone (LOL). She's also the one teaching me Russian and very patiently explains all those cultural questions that I have. The cool thing about having friends who speak multiple languages is if I ever need an interpreter all I have to do is hit the speed dial (LOL). Tamara has yet to meet the wee people but Susana sees them all the time. BTW, the little minions adore her and Stephen has a serious crush on Susana that is mad fun to see. Sometimes, my three year old actually blushes. I have to remind myself to stop peeking at him in the rear view mirror when we are all in the car together (LOL).
One of these days we're going to get tickets to the Late Show and chill at Lindy's so I can blog live with my peeps and tease you with food porn. Manhattan rolls 24/7/365 so you can get a lot of business done at very interesting places to meet and eat. Seriously! Have you ever had Lindy's Famous Real New York Cheesecake? That is Spanking-A-Awesome! You have to try that. Add it to your bucket list. :-)
Lindy's has a new location in Manhattan: 825 7th Avenue at 53rd Street. Here's a picture so you don't get lost (LOL). Your mission, should you decide to accept it: Get Late Night tickets and get Lindy's Cheesecake and tell me how you like it. :-)

The Late Show with Letterman certainly is a great show. I whole heartedly agree with your sentiments.
Well obviously that picture is all I need! I'll just hop in my car and take a drive all the way up to New Jersey right now! LOL
Thank you, Dana. :-)
Lisa, if you do NJ call me. I'll cross state lines and meet you (LOL). ;-)
I always try to surround myself with people smarter than myself for the same reasons that you do, C. Hey, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!
Elizabeth, my love, may God bless you and your family. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ;-)
