RainCamp: ActiveBrad and ActiveBob Interview An Inpromptu RE Panel
Patricia Kennedy, Sheldon Neal and Cindy Jones are onstage with ActiveBrad and ActiveBob. This is the highlight of my afternoon so far. Did you know that Patricia Kennedy used to work for Ralph Nadar and worked with an attorney with a journalism background? This person was her writing mentor and helped her find her voice. Sheldon Neal's writing mentors are in the Rain. Cindy Jones gets inspired by reading blogs from people in the service industry who work outside of real estate. They provide her inspiration and a fresh perspective, helping her relate to her profession.
The topic under discussion is about finding your voice... :-)
The fun part is when you start reading someone who really sucks but then they eventually evolve into something really cool. I certainly sucked when I started (LOL). We all gotta start somewhere... ;-)

I was so hoping the photo was going to an imbedded YouTube video.
Great info and wonderful Bloggers to learn from
Hmm... you guys want YouTube, eh? Maybe during the after party, Lorrie. I left the tripod in the trunk (LOL).
Paddy, they were really great. What a cool session. :-)
PARTY ON, No I did not know Pat was a Nader Raider ...you outed her...I knew she was a great camp blogger ...but a Nader Raider? :) Thanks for the update ...Best to all..How fun
Oh my wordy C!!! I do remember chiding you for being so succinct!! I am truly sorry I missed this. xxoo
Sounds like a fun little panel to listen to my friend. Everyone has to learn how to use their voice and come to their own when it comes to writing. We all have our own style and thought processes.
What a great day it was for you....Sorry I missed this event!
Regards,
Essie
I am loving your short and information packed posts!! Is that the same Pat Kennedy who was just in Hawaii for 3 weeks. Looking for more and more.
yes, this was an awesome show! thanks for capturing parts of it and sharing with us here on AR.
Susan, Susan, Susan... Oh ye of little faith... the Wordy C version of RainCamp is about to be a YouTube embed with new music (ROTFLMAO). I promised Lorrie a YouTube (LOL). My FB peeps are demanding it (LMAO) Will start assembling the multimedia package as soon as the shorties are in their classrooms and I pick an outside office to get comfy in. :-)
Claude, my mouth made an imperfect "O" of surprise (LMAO).
JL, so true. That's what makes blogging great. All the neat voices and perspectives. :-)
Essie, meet me in DC. We're gonna have a bast. I'm trying to talk Hubby into bringing the kids along. :-)
Margaret, there's a monster post coming (LOL).
Joseph, you are very welcome and there is more to come. Stay tuned. :-)
Got to check out Patricia and Sheldon. I already follow Cindy.
Carol - Great meeting you yesterday.... A great time... will be posting pic blog myself later on today... again Great to meet you... :-)
C- This was an important part of the session, letting the audience hear from experience bloggers especially since many in attendance were not yet blogging.
Thanks for posting this...it's like being in the audience. Maybe next time...
Carol - it was great meeting you. I posted a video clip of the panel on my blog, for those that care to see it. http://activerain.com/blogsview/1432023/raincamp-ny-2010-meet-the-star-panel-
