Realtor Magazine Dinner With Margaret Rome and some of Maryland's Finest Professionals
Was it worth driving 242 miles from New York City to Maryland? Yup. I love the people living in my computer and any business meeting that ensures I get to spend some quality time with them is a priority for my schedule. If not for Margaret Rome I would not have had the pleasure of meeting Helen L. Dellheim, an Associate Broker and Attorney at Law that knocked my socks off. Her wee people are older than my wee people so I am looking forward to picking her brain about teenagers and real estate. We had a blast comparing notes and I have a lot to learn regarding kids and the industry so I bet you wish you were a fly on the wall for our coversation with Margaret Rome's mentor Ann. To say that was a real treat is an understatement of major proportions (LOL). Besides, I may need a Maryland lawyer because I took a virgin blogger hostage and made her write a blog post before I let her go home (LMAO). I'll be high-jacking my newest Club Chaos bay-bay tomorrow to force her to write another blog post. She's helping me with my Russian since I am away from my gal pal Susana so helping her start to write is least I can do. She joined Club Chaos, Whacked and Diary of a Realtor yesterday. The way I see it, if your first post is going to be a diary entry, the least I can do is help make it interesting (LOL).
Yeah, I know, you didn't expect Club Chaos Boot Camp to take hostages, eh? At least my version of writing jail is mad fun (LOL). Will I be telling you more about the other creative writing inmates volunteering for quirky bouts of creative incarceration with Wordy C? You betcha, but first you need to name these professionals who attended a spanking social media event with Realtor Magazine and Margaret Rome (LOL).
Pssst... it wasn't just a crab cake dinner. We were allowed to order anything on the menu as a guest of Margaret Rome. Half of us ate Italian. I had the double crab cake with spaghetti and tea. It was absolutely marvelous. Good company and great food makes me a very happy blogger. The Olive Branch gets a thumb up in my foodie paradise book of nice places to eat. :-)
Don't forget to go say hello to my writing hostage. It's Anna's first blog post and she may need some kindness therapy to get over being a wee bit shy. Don't worry. Dr Stacey will be around to curb my quirky predilections for making people write in the here and now rather than procrastinate. It appears I may suffer from outside office syndrome and my ActiveRain addictions are contagious (LOL). You too will crave blogging if you hang out with me. I dare you to come to the first ActiveRain Open House tomorrow and not blog about it. ;-)
Rumor has it I may be trying to kidnap Ellie McIntire, Margaret Woda and Lenn Harley. Tune in tomorrow for when our next blogging hostage says...
OMG - is she really a Realtor? Who let her out of New York? Be afraid. Be very afraid... She's thinking about working here on the weekends. Seriously... :-P

Great photos! Great post! Looks like it was an all around great evening! So sorry to have missed it.
Elyse, we will be RainCamping our way down there, among other social media events. If the schedule works out there will be a lot of running around going on while blogging. :-)
Hey, I see J-Mac, too. Tres cool.
Paul, when I get to AZ to see Candice et al I am beating a path to your door to meet the missus and the wee people. :-)
You better look me up before you bother with the et al ;)
Hi Carolyn... Good People + Good Food = Great Fun. And you can't beat that!
LOL @ Paul. Absolutely!!! I wouldn't have it any other way. I am hoping my little minions and the hubby will take the trip with me. If not, there's always Facebook so they can see the pics (LOL). I promised Mikey I'd leave them links so they can keep up with me while I'm working in MD. I will be on the hunt for some eye candy soon. Sun is coming up. Time for me to do a random points-of-interest TomTom joy ride before my 7 AM (LOL). ;-)
Steve, I am having a blast. Hanging out with Margaret is always interesting. We're going to the gym with Realtor Magazine, brainstorming on my books and we have the AR Open to do. I am going to go find some eye candy for my kids to look at. Jogging and blogging live from the harbor later so the shorties and hubby can enjoy peeking at a Maryland view. :-)
Wow!!! And to think I was stuck back in Annapolis writing and receiving contracts ALL weekend long. I mean ALL weekend. Got home at 11:30 on Saturday nite and 7:30 on Sunday nite. But I will be at todays open house come hell or high water and cant wait to meet you!!
I see a video camera - where's the video?
BTW, I'm liking the new 'do.
Martha Brown!!!!!!! Hello lovely. You better come with me for pizza afterward. You know how us New Yorkers love our pizza. I have to sample and compare some everywhere I go. My kids have a thing for cheesy bread so Albas Pizza and Dominos rules (LOL). :-)
Jesse, I am hoarding my video clips but will start posting some shorty. Realtor Magazine is doing a great piece on Margaret Rome and I have to say their techie crew stuff is to die for. I love video. Gabe has great equipment. When I grow up I want to be a video journalist like Gabe and Kate. Do you think when I turn 50 I'll start acting my age? I shall be 45 in a few weeks. An ActiveRain Club Chaos par-tay at Kyoto might be in the works. My gal pals and are plotting a social media event of little minion proportions (LOL). I owe you breakfast. We shall do that when I get back from running up and down I-95. ;-)
C - I'm looking forward to reading more about your on the road adventures and kidnappings!!!!
What a fun event and great opportunity to meet up with some AR folks. I would love to meet Margaret - we have only talked on the phone so far. Someday...
Jeff
Ann, we're having an amazing time together. Audrey June may be coming. I am a little kid about seeing her and the others. :-)
Jeff, Margaret is a sweetie pie. You would simply love her. :-)
Carolyn- It was a real pleasure to dine with you. My shortie had the best crab cake in his lunch box today.
Ellie, I bet your baby did (LOL). Wasn't that food simply amazing? Those were the best crab cakes ever. If we weren't doing sushi tonight I'd run back over there and order some again. I want to do night shots of Baltimore so I am waiting for Anna. We're working on figuring out what I should see while I am here and shall be blogging together later tonight. :-)
Carolyn, you don't waste a minute. Oh, to have your energy! Who's with the shorties? Is Hubby managing the two day stint all on his own? You better b ring him a nice present.
C ~ Sounds like the perfect meet up! You could have done audio boos on the way down for your voice blog.
Hubby is wee people sitting and doing a fine job of managing the little minions (LOL). Lora, I like the gift idea and shall find something neat for him to enjoy. ;-)
Carra, I have been remiss in my audio/video duties. Let's see what we can cook up (LOL). :-)
C, you are truly a hoot, and I love reading your blog posts. My those crab cakes looked ah so inviting that my mouth started watering....guess I will go eat a cookie. :)
Hi C. I like seeing pictures so of course this is a real treat. Looks like you had lots of fun but then you seem to be a fun person :-)
How did I not comment on this wonderful post back in March? That was so much fun and the start of some good friendships!
Margaret
Holy cow. I missed responding to Lana and Rebecca. Sorry ladies. Margaret, it was fun. :-)
