Autistic Photographs of Noah E Starr: Canarsie Pier At Sunset (Brooklyn, NY)
When I was a kid taking the bus to get here was a big deal. Born and raised in Brooklyn, I know Kings County like the back of my hand. It's fun to pack the boys up and hang out at the National Gateway Recreation Area. It spans a couple of counties and has some very interesting sites for the family to check out. When on the hunt for eye candy make sure you're in position at least an hour before sunset. It's the magic hour where little people can become fascinated by God painting in the sky to make fishing and kite flying a fascinating experience to observe. Here is some of Noah's work...
Kids doing Localism... I am in love with my wee people. Their awe and wonder is captured in a blink of an eye and a click of a shutter. Who knew the silence of an autistic 8 year old could be so eloquent...

C, I am so glad I found your post tonight. I want to pass the link to a good friend of mine. He can stand some cheering up just now, and this may be just the thing for him.
Great pics.
Thanks for sharing your pictures. Have an outstanding week. The following is a spring picture in our neigborhood in Maryland.
Just perfect. I agree that nothing beats the serenity of the sunrise.
If you like the Canarsie Pier, try Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay with it's own little "fishing village".
C, wonderful pictures. Noah is certainly very talented, but I don't need to tell YOU that, LOL.
I am waiting for that book!
Sherry, I hope you friend enjoys the pictures. We're going off to enjoy another eye candy hunt. Will try and post them today if I can. :-)
Thank you, Abraham. :-)
Roy, very cool. :-)
Ellie, my love, I second that in spades. My fave parts of the day is sunrise and sunset. :-)
Jesse, I bet my kids would love that. I may take a run over there later. I was thinking lower Manhattan so I could mess with Cindy and Josef (LOL). :-)
Andrea, I love the way our writing project is developing and the picture book is really beautiful. I'm thinking I should make posters and have the four of us sign some of them. The Stephen scribbles should be fun (LOL).
C, what a wonderful post, the pictures, the sentiment, all very nice, thanks for sharing..
What a wonderful collection of pictures and feelings. I can feel the stillness of that morning.....it brings me back to some quiet mornings of my own with my wee ones.
